Nestled in the countryside, the live Christ’s Nativity of Tricase is presented on the hill of Monte Orco. Hundreds of people are spread over a distance of nearly two kilometers that portrays a small Bethlehem in the heart of Salento. Placed among biblical scenes and settings that recall the context of the rural culture of Salento are small shops with crafts of the ancient times, the lavish palace of Herod, the home of the Romans and the Synagogue. It really appears like Bethlehem as the sign at the entrance of the citadel reads.
